    Metallic paint

    how do you make metallic paint? i'm lookin for like a deep blue, but can't figure out how to do it, or even if there is a way to do it.

    There is a metallic layer that you use. Not sure of the link, but I'm sure someone will have it posted for ya shortly

    You can get individual metalic layers over at lightspeed. Those are at 512x512. But if you download the hi rez cars in the same section of lightspeed you can get them in hi rez. I believe each model has a metallic layer included. If you have any other questions, feel free to pm me and I'll help ya out as best I can.

    I always added a layer of whatever color I wanted over the metallic layer and switched the layer properties to Overlay or Burn, or whatever it took to give me the color I wanted. Hope that helps.

    Normally, I do it completely opposite as wgjones does it. I put the metallic layer over the solid color and change the settings on the metallic layer, but I'm sure there is more than one way to skin a cat.

    you can also change the HUE properties, which in turn changes the color of the layer.
