From what I hear, AJ is a health nut. People are joking about how they can't even trick him to eat chocolate.

Pure gossip but someone in Charlotte posted on FB that he tested positive for Steroids. If he's going to test positive for something, this is probably the most fan/sponsor/team friendly thing he could test positive for.

I could see Sportscenter still trying to play that as the worst thing for a NASCAR driver. It's alot better compared to:
- Killing his wife/girlfriend and unborn child.
- Killing dogs and making money off of it.
- Raping a teenager.

Hes like 5'2 and 140 pounds lol. I thought AJ was a some what wheelman but if he needs to take roids to drive a stock car somethings not right. Wrong sport. lol
R.I.P Papaw. Greatest person I ever met, thank you for everything Grandpa.
Be careful, if you buy and sell NASCAR collectibles you will be sent to Diecast Crazy Hell.

I think roids for someone like him has something to do with what's going on in his head.
Just pure speculation though

Lots of that in this thread!
Also, notice how all the statements simply say they're "shocked" -- no admission of guilt, and no disagreement with NASCAR's call.

If true, then he needs to let Mark Martin take him under his wing. That old man can show him how to be ripped the right way.

Roger Penske on Sirius Radio this morning.
#NASCAR ... Roger Penske on @SiriusXMNASCAR on AJ's future with team: "We have a one-year contract with him. We'll have to assess the situation. We'll look at the details and understand it and make our move accordingly. At this point, it would be way premature for me to speculate what we might do. I think we've got to focus on our team and NASCAR. We've got good momentum. We've got to finish out this season strong. This will obviously, the outcome of this will dictate what will be the future from the standpoint of ourselves and any member of our team that would be in this situation.''
Now that I read it again, strange how the first word is about the one year deal.

I'm not saying it's not true or couldn't happen.. But as much money and attention Carl Edwards has made off of being in great shape, (Subway sponsorship, magazines, commercials) I would think someone working that much on their body that they take steroids would eventually say "Hey, look at my body!"

And A.J. has released a statement.
"I have informed NASCAR that I have requested that the 'B' sample be tested, following the steps according to NASCAR's 2012 rule book regarding this situation. I fully respect NASCAR's drug usage policy and the reasons they have it.
I am hoping this can get resolved as quickly as possible so that I can get back to driving the No. 22 Penske Racing Dodge. I am sorry that this has caused such a distraction for my Penske Racing team, our sponsors and fans.
Obviously I would never do anything to jeopardize my opportunity here at Penske Racing or to my fellow drivers. I am very conscious about my training and health and would never knowingly take a prohibited drug."

That statement sounds like roids to me. Several people on the SiriusXM shows were saying he s a health nut and maybe tried a mixture of different health drinks. Maybe AJ tried something that had something in it that NASCAR tests.
Regardless the fact that he is asking for the B sample and is co-operating with NASCAR's process is a good sign that we aren't dealing with another Mayfield situation. However I fear this is the end of AJ. Even if he is cleared, this will stick with for a long time. He will have a hard time finding a ride after this, regardless of the outcome of the tests.

It really depends on what it was he tested for. If it's something as simple as a bad drink I don't think it will cause much trouble down the road, now if it's a hard drug then yeah, he's done.

Sounds like someone made a steroid comment and AJ is trying to use that excuse now?
I'm just looking at it like anyone else would. You can't believe anything.

The latest rumor is that it is a sleep aid...So why does a guy that is health concious have sleeping problems? Given that question I would believe sleep aids over steroids. I just can't see AJ wanting to "bulk up" for his next karting day.
