Indycar Racing for NR2k3 is here...

After about 19 months work in total, the successor to V8 Indycars is finally upon us:

Credits goto Dave "woofgm" Reuille for his work on the templates, cars and painting of all the pit crews, JRFranklin, Matt O'Reilly & Mike Cooper for beta testing, and Kyle O'Neill for his fantastic artwork used on the mainback screen.

The mod includes 76 fully rated AI cars total, (38 Road, 38 Oval) which include the 26 that started at St Pete this year, plus 12 fantasy schemes painted by Dave Reuille.

One small issue, the template download link says file does not exist.

    Hi Guys,
Could someone do me a favour. I downloaded the new Indy mod at Smiffsden and it is very cool. My problem is that I can't open the template to create my own car. Would someone please download the template, reduce the layers to under 100 and shrink to 1024 x 1024 and send it to me. It would be greatly appreciated. Here is the link and my email address. Thanks, Heywood.

Wow! Awesome job on this, it's good to change things up and get a different mod in! Got my download!
Let's hope Jeff Gordon can get his Drive for Five before Jimmie doubles his amount of championships...

I did get the gimp version, but it still won't open. I'm thinking the template needs to be shrunk to 1024 x 1024 with less than 100 layers. Thanks, Heywood.

    Great work on the mod.

Does anyone know where I can find a good Indianapolis track for these cars? It just seems weird to have them top out at around 195 MPH.

I'm having the same template issue, the psd and psp versions do not open in PSP7 (the old version ones did)

I tried that the other night and it kept giving me the "Could not load track" error message. I copied the entire Indianapolis folder into a new folder (essentially duplicating the track, so I wouldn't lose the original IMS) and unzipped the files from the download link into the new track. Am I doing something wrong?

While I've long since "retired" from sim racing, I sure hope this new mod turns out to be another popular one. Thanks to all who were part in creating it.

    Two things....

    1. Did the track work fine before you tried entering the new files from the Smiffsden download?

    2. If the answer to #1 is yes, then check to make sure you do not have a folder named "Indianapolis_revamped_2010_V2" inside of the folder named "Indianapolis_revamped_2010_V2".
