RuRa 2.4 Hours of Daytona team?

I'm most likely running the 2.4 Hours of Daytona on 1/28 in the DP. Was hunting on Facebook for some guys to run with as I know nothing about setting up these things.

Got to thinking that maybe I'd see if there was anyone on RuRa planning to run. Maybe we can have an unofficial "team" of sorts.

I'm going to do my best to run again this year. I really enjoyed last years race.

I am planning to run. I believe my wife is working that day, so she won't mind when I spend a few hours racing.

Just ran some laps to reacquaint myself with the track. I'm so slow. Guys are talking about 1:37s and 1:38s. My optimal is a 1:44. Not 100% sure where I'm giving up ground all that ground either. Are you guys right on the edge? I haven't really pushed it there consistently yet because I'm still settling into braking points, but I can't see that all costing me 6 seconds.

I remember being so fast compared to others in practices when I ran this race last year (or the year before?) but was never able to settle into a rhythm in my race because of all the cars and ended up pretty horrible.

If people want to get together and work on setups next week, I'll probably be doing some testing and could put up a session.

I was down to 1:41s, but I was using a year old setup and I'd never run the course before

Road course racing is very deceiving. You can lose a ton of time both under braking and prior to acceleration, but not feel like you are losing any time.
