It's for shot gunning them, so you don't have to punch a hole in the side of the can. It's basically aimed towards college kids...

I thought it was because you guys could not master a slow pour.

Not necessarily. I've seen many beer vendors at sporting events carry a sharp pick or something to punch a hole in the can while pouring it.

Doing that should be illegal.

When alcohol is abused by 90% of the people who drink it, there's a good reason for that idea.

So you (or the government) have the right to tell me what I should or should not ingest?

If you boys had a drinking culture to begin with, I doubt there would be as many problems.

I wouldn't doubt it. If we had adapted the way that Europe did things could be a whole lot better. Europeans respect alcohol and feel that if you're accustomed to it and desensitized to it then it won't be so wanted by youths. Same thing with driving. It takes so long, not to mention expensive, to get a drivers license that it turns out more people respect it. They don't view it as a "it's my right" but more of a privilege.

And that's the problem with it here. We just don't have respect for it, nor understand the consequences of it. I have no problem with alcohol, but we just don't seem to have a grasp of how destructive it is when we go overboard until it's too late and someone gets themselves in hot water.
I think another prohibition would be suitable now just because of how reckless a lot of people have become with it.
