Probably because there are some decals on the taillights. It does look odd. And the number way down there on the rear bumper looks funny too. Why don't they just put it on the taillight like they used to?

Numbers aren't placed on the headlight and tail lights in Nationwide for some reason. I wish it was like that in the Cup series. In Cup, they have so many decals overlapping the headlights it makes it pointless to have them on there in the first place. Same thing with contigs overlapping lower grille decals. They're supposed to represent a hole, defeats the purpose.

Ingersoll Rand (when I last checked) is suppose to be the primary sponsor for Cole Whitt for the Charlotte race. So we might see different patriotic paint schemes for Whitt in those races, most likely just a different sponsor on the hood each week.
