they have basically redone the entire engine. Much more overall puck feel. The goalies make more realistic saves and intereact with the puck much better. It is also much harder to score, but like in real life, if you figure a goalie out, it's there.

Also, there is much more customization....

and don't even get me on the fighting... I find myself going everytime after the wistle because i'm in there going at their goalie... needless to say, they don't like that... "not... one... bit..."

I plan on picking this up, NHL 09 had me hooked from the start and i have been craving this game for a while.

In NHL 09, I used to just beat up on the guy beside me, and knock the puck loose from the goalie after the whistle blowed. Now, I can't do that....if I do, I have a few guys chasing after me! LOL And sometimes you'll have five one-on-one fights after the whistle!

I LOVE IT! I can't stop playing it. I've never in my life played a hockey game that I couldn't put down after playing one game. The Be a Pro Mode is AWESOME! My player is a right wing for the Marlies. I got drafted by the Leafs and played amazingly my first 4 games, but still got sent down to the AHL, and now I'm like a man among boys. I scored 5 goals against Lake Erie last game, I felt bad for them.

anyone else experiencing massive freezing problems?

Nope, well not anymore than usual after EA switched to the new interface their using, its been like that since last year though, it all started with NBA Live '09, I swapped it out like 6 times, and every single copy would freeze randomly at the same menu point after playing the game for like 20 minutes. So, in all I would say I think the game has froze maybe twice since I've had it.
