    iRacing Chat

I know a couple other forums that have a thread like this, so I figure it should work here. Rather than starting ten thousand threads, we can just have general iRacing chat in here.

So I was owning Christian all race long in the last LM race. Fended him off from the outside once, but then I felt bad for him so I decided to smack the inside wall to let him get pass me

Had my first run in last night.

Guy dive bombed T1 on lap two at Iowa to make it three wide, he slid up and pushed me in the fence, bent my steering. Then he spun off of two (same corner) and took out half the feild. With bent steering I tracked the leader down and took the lead back. Few laps later while trying to lap the same moron he comes down off the wall and wrecks us both.

After that he came out the pits behind me on fresher tires and passed me, I hooked him out of 4 and turned him straight in the fence ending his day. Was the wrong thing to do but it just frustrated me to no end.

He then protested me, since I have zero incidents in all my other races nothing will be done this time. I won't retailiate ever again - not because of protests, it's just not worth driving like that.

Ran another race after that and led every lap.

I'd have done the same. It takes a lot for me to get to the point where I'd retaliate, but some guys need to be taught a lesson and the only thing they understand is your bumper.

Don't worry, the protesting system has the teeth of an 94 year old man in a nursing home

Yeah Nim was pretty cool about it, though I was in violation I think he understood the entire situation as a whole.

If you bump somebody in the corner to retaliate, it will always be labeled a racing incident and nothing will happen.

There's always at least one race available whether it's official or a hosted race. Failing that there are always a few populated practice sessions. The only time I've had trouble finding anything decent is if I jump on early in the morning.

Early in the morning is the best time to race, sadly.

Indeed. All the morning races I've run have been great. Usually if you run one of the more popular series' there'll be some racing.

There are some nice, clean folks on in the morning. Now I just made the mistake of racing on the weekend and it was hell. Full of egotistical ClassA or pro drivers that think everyone should move over for them because they're superior.

...or they just give you a hard time for the hell of it.

Craftsman tools come included with earning a black stripe. There are maybe 4 or 5 pros i've raced against that aren't complete douches

What a joke, prepping all day to run that 2 hour race at the Glen and they decided to start the Caddies in front of the DPs.

Needless to say, due to others I didn't survive lap 1.

Fixed IndyCar at Iowa is some of the most fun I have had, even though I got taken out in the final lap. You get a good and fair group together, and you can put on a hell of a race.

I must say, it is very demoralizing racing with middle schoolers who have an A license while I am trying to get my B. lol
