sound issues

I thought my headset was going bad so I replaced it.

Now with my new headset I get sound from the speakers and headset.

I have a Dell dimension 9100
soundblaster audigy 2 ZS
plantronics headset

any help appreciated


I really don't want to deal with dell support on this, but I suppose if I have to.

If you need Dell support, I have the personal work email address of a guy who works at Dell headquarters in Texas.

He's a "Customer Advocate" for the community (met him on a tech forum) meaning you can email him, he'll tell you how to fix it, or he'll set something up for me.

Hell, I told him my problem and he arranged for a Dell technician to come over here to replace the part.

I spend NO time on the phone on hold whatsoever.
