    Wireless internet?

I am clueless when it comes to computer networking. I will tell you what I have, and what I want. Can someone tell me the best way to achieve it? I assume it is pretty simple to do, I dont want to buy something I dont need though.

I have high speed cable internet. It currently comes into my home office as a coax cable, goes to a cable modem, then through a cable to my pc. I have another PC in my son's play room that I dont currently have internet access. I would like to have a strong internet connection at the pc in my office so I can still race on it, but have wireless internet at the PC in the play room.

Best way to do this? Thanks in advance.

Get you a either a wireless access point or wireless router & either a USB or PCI WiFi card.

If you get a router, it will do all the logging in to the internet for you. The cable modem may do that now. If it does, then all you need is an access point.

Once you get the stuff its pretty easy. Follow the directions closely & you should have it up & running within 30 minutes easily.

As a review, just buy TWO things:

1.) Wireless Router & WiFi card

    ---------OR-------------

2.) Wireless Access Point & WiFi card

It really depends on how your current connection logs in to the radius server at your ISP as to what main device you will need
