Looking for a little more juice

I'm looking to basically upgrade some stuff on here to try and get some of the newer games to run more smoothly. I'm not sure what to upgrade but I'm guessing going to a dual core motherboard would be the next step in better performance.

    Pentium 4
    2.53 GHz
    1 GB RAM
    ASROCK P4i65G Motherboard
Nvidia GeForce 7800 GS video card

you really dont need more than 2GB for gaming, anything over is just a waste of money..

i would say a better processor, but i dont know alot about comps, so.

Adding RAM will not dramatically increase your fps in games. The thing that benefits the most from adding RAM will be load times. If you're looking at getting better fps, look more toward a new CPU.

Your video card is sufficient for N2003. A processor upgrade may help, but not much! I'd say that anything you do would only give minor gains since your system is probably on the upward end of the power curve for a P4 system. If your motherboard can take it, look at a 3+GB processor that's under $125. Anything else would require a new MB, RAM, and processor swap. I looked at upgrading mine and I would have to replace everything to really step up at all since they went to 64bit/dual core/DDR2/etc.

I'm more than content with how N2003 runs but I'm looking more towards rFactor (run decent but would like more) and new games like ARCA and DiRT

Might as well save some money than and build a new system you can put a pretty nice gaming rig together for less than a grand minus monitor mouse and keyboard..send me a PM ill give u a list of the parts i used to build mine..getting 120 frames in rfactor..everything up..which is weird..because im getting less in n2003 65-80 back of the pack with everything on..but i think because its old software.
