    Vista

How can you tell if your current PC is compatible with Windows Vista? I would like to try it on my PC but I'm not sure if it will work.

I think the only way anyone can use it, is if they bought/built a super computer in the past 6 months or recently purchased a new one with Vista pre-installed. Either way, I think its a waste of money at this point anyway.

Yep, I've played with it here at the office, and to tell ya the truth I didn't go "WOW"

I was more like WTF? It didnt find the Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live!, it didn't find the Voodoo Blaster Banshee, it didnt find a Radeon 9200 AIW....

So yeah, basically it only works with certain things & even then, its pretty much a waste of money and time.

Well, I'm running it. I just put an Nvidia 7600 gt 256 vid card in my comp yesterday.
It didn't appear to recognize it as it kept telling me I had to uninstall my existing drivers before I could install the drivers for this card.
After some looking around I discovered that the existing drivers it was refering to were the actual card drivers that it had already installed on it's own.
I guess the point i"m making here is that it automatically does stuff without much to-do.
After running Win98SE for so long anything probably would have been an improvement. To sum it up I personally like Vista so far.

Did you get Vista Basic, Business, Premium, or Ultimate?

Ultimate is what I was playing with... its the one with all the bells & whistles.

I've been playing with Ultimate for about a week and haven't had many problems. It's found both my cards and everything else on my system.

Must just be certain things that it already has drivers for and some don't yet.
