Trying to figure out how the personnel to run four backmarker Xfinity teams isn't enough personnel to run one backmarker Cup team. Particularly with so many companion races when there are rarely more than 38 cars showing up for Cup races.

(I'm sure they have a legit reason, I'm just not buying this particular one)

    • Chase Elliott gets the victory at Watkins Glen, Martin Truex Jr. finished second, Denny Hamlin finished third, Erik Jones finished fourth, Blaney finished fifth. Second consecutive win for Chase Elliott at Watkins Glen, led 80 of the 90 laps.

      Chase Elliott won stage 1
Chase Elliott won stage 2 and swept the stages.

No issues in post race tech, Chase Elliott officially the winner

In not so shocking news, DiBenedetto is unlikely returning to the 95, and it's either Bell or Jones in that ride next year.

I would be speechless if Jones willingly vacates his current ride and downgrades to the 95 to put Bell in the 20 over him
