  • Daily Drivers, Richard's Fairy Tale & Switching to GUYCO

    I know this thread probably existed, but I can't find it.

    My daily driver is a 2000 Plymouth Breeze with 134k miles on it.

    I gotta say, it's not a bad little car and I love the thing, but it didn't age too well.

    Other than a few small issues it still runs like new.

                  I don't have a picture of mine, but it's a 2006 Chevrolet HHR with 67,000 miles on it. Runs really well and gets anywhere from 27-30 MPG

                    2007 Silver Pontiac Grand Prix. Has about 113,000 miles on it. Racked up about 100,000 miles in 2 years, and 13,000 in the 2 after that

                      Best pic I have right now. My '95 Eclipse with 106k. In the pic I am replacing the alternator and belt. Runs awesome with the exception of that surging or whatever (read about it in the thread I made)

                        I'm gonna post 2 since, hopefully, one is drivable again soon.

                        First is my current driver, a 1996 Geo Tracker. Complete with custom (and leaking) welded factory exhaust, larger than stock tires, CB, cracker windshield, and duct tape holding he soft top together. Right now Oliver (don't make fun of Oliver) is giving me fits, but hopefully I can get it straiten it out. It is my first car (I've driven it on and off and has been the most reliable), but soon....

                        ...I hope to get my 1988 Jeep Comanche Pioneer on the road again. A bad slave cylinder (and a paperweight Peugeot tranny) has my brother i the process of installing a AX-15 5-speed from another Jeep in it. Also, within the past week, the alternator's bearings have failed, which has me replacing that one myself while I'm home from break. It's been a lot of work and money, but hopefully I can get it on the road again.

                            My Car = 2001 Saturn SL1
                            Owned Since = July 2004
                            Miles = about 61,000

                            Coming up on eight years that I have had my Saturn. It's been a good little car.

                            Dealer photo of my car around the time I got it...

                              My daily driver is a 1996 Chevrolet S-10 that I purchased in 1998. She just clicked off 216,000 miles. Still gets the same MPG as my 2011 CRV. I'm going to drive her 'til she dies. She's been a good one.
