  • Speedway/Short Track Bodies

Around October of 2008, the developers of ARCA Sim Racing finished work on the new "Speedway" body. The model was complete, the paint templates were complete. They never reached the customer. Here are two screenshots of the Speedway model in ARCA Sim Racing. So zippy, quick question, how come this was never released to us as this would be freaking amazing if we had them.

If the powers-that-be at NASCAR have any common sense left in them, Erik Jones will be driving the 20 for the next 3 weeks.

They were never completed, they were close though. But there was an issue internally with game which didn't allow us to alternate the bodies as we wanted. We are contimplating whether or not to use our laser scanned truck in this manner though, but not toally sure yet It will bring havoc to painters because there ain't one side the same ...

Alot of stuff for ASR was set to be given out but that didn't happen. People opened up the game and released tracks for the game and then that went to a youknowwhat in a handbasket. 6 people online at any given time.

FWIW to those interested, we decided to go exactly with the laser scan of the truck. Nothing is symetrical from one side to the other, should be fun for those who paint ...

Is there any type of chance that we will have the truck model available to us before the 2012 season starts so that our leagues can run and start at Daytona?

I expect so yes, for ASR 1. We'll have the Chevy ready for sure.
