I just have to set the record straight on this. This is a prime example of the conservative media taking things out of context.

“I can’t overstress the importance of a great education. Do you know where you end up if you don’t study, if you aren’t smart, if you’re intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq.”[/qoute]

Thsi probably isn't the thread for this but, nice try at not writing the statement that Kerry got in hot water for. The actual statement is not what you posted above and although he flip flopped on it also his meaning was clear. People have let him lie and change his mind in the past so often I guess he figures they will allow it now. That is a good attempt of trying to bail out your buddy though :moon:

Here are a few link with the statement written and a youtube video of the actual statement. I'm sure some of you will claim that this is probably been edited by Bush personally, but I think Kerry made it clear how he feel about our military on many occasions. I'm personally tired of hearing him talk about being a veteran. when he has done so much to put down our military so many times in the past. Must be a conspiracy and Republicans really made him say stuff like this, the Vietnam veterans, and throw away his medals. Right? I'm sure Bush made him say it.

"Education -- if you make the most of it and you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well," said Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat. "If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

I understand you want to take up for your boy on this one, but posting something different then what everyone heard and is reporting on doesn't help him.

Kerry DID NOT make the statement you quoted.

Even CNN doesnt have that quote anywhere to be found.

Well of course CNN doesnt have any incriminating evidence against their former champion for the White House!! That would not fit the agenda at their fair and balanced news orgainization!

S_Gibson

CNN does have that quote, but it is not a quote by Kerry. That quote was by one of Kerry's aides. The aide said that was what Kerry supposedly wanted to say.

We all know Kerry from the other lies and story switching he has done. He meant the troops were stupid, before he meant the troops were not stupid. I sure everyone knows by now how it is with this guy. Least this moron did not become President. There were a bunch of people crazy enough to vote for him for some reason though.
