Another 'get to know you' thread. Instead of showing yourselves like in that pic thread, just tell us a little about yourself.
In fact, I don't know many of your real names, just a few of you. So this thread is to fix that.
I'll start...
Hi, I'm Michael Chrobok. But you can call me Mike. I'm from here in Ontario, but my background is Polish, Austrian, and Croatian. I'm 16. :hi:
Feel free to ask questions about the poster infront of you or just reply with your names (last names are not necessary).

Because I'm lazy I'll copy this from another forum
1. My name's Chris Theriault, I'm 18 and live in Toronto Canada
2. I've been sim racing since N3 but went online for first time in N2002
3. I along with a few others paint many latemodels from around Ontario and are the creators of the CASCAR mods and carsets
4. I crew on a CASCAR team and have travelled all around for races. I also help out with a latemodel at my local track on the weekends I'm not touring with CASCAR.
5. I am a mechanic and I absolutely love the trade and I will own my own shop someday.

Taken off the same forum as Chris' post.
1. My name is Pete, and I'm 18 and am majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Hampshire.
2. I started racing quarter midgets at Little T in 98' and just finished my second season in the USAC Northeast Ford Focus series, where I finished 9th in points. I do pretty much everything on my car, except paying for it (I know, I'm a spoiled rich kid), and most of the electrical stuff.
3. Have been sim racing since the Indianapolis 500 sim back in 91' or so. My first league race was in 2003, right after N2003 came out. I won my first online championship this year with the ASRS RPM Latemodels, and would like to think that I am pretty good at sim racing.
4. I love driving at 4:30 AM on highways in the middle of nowhere, coming back from the races while listening to Charlie Daniels, Gin Blossoms, or various classic rock songs.
5. I have an extensive collection of very odd pictures.

I'm Drew Glover, a 16 year old high school student. I've been in on the NASCAR sim scene since mid-2002, and held onto the NR2003 demo for about 6 months until I could get the full game around late June '03.
Everyone I know (real life) calls me one of the smartest people they know, I think of myself as a sponge, kinda. It only takes one listen to get the information in my head. I try to be modest about it, though, the worst thing I could do is become egotistical.

My name should be pretty easy to figure out :moon:
Other than that, I'm a first year senior in college planning on doing a double-major in graphic design and a minor in illustration. Should keep me an extra year if all goes well. Outside of school, I hold down 3 graphic design jobs (one of which allows me to design a few racecars. Woohoo!)
I've been around the sim community since NASCARnet was still Alex's NASCAR Pit Stop (Wasn't that the name? I still remember the brown menu buttons across the top of the site LMAO), and got to be one of the first crew members there.

Hello!
I am Kevin Bartelt. Many people pronounce my name incorrectly (Most scewups are pronounced "Bartlet").
I am 17 and 6'7"/204 lbs. I have been running Papyrus/Sierra sims since N1 and I have been racing on the computer since Bill Elliott's Nascar Challenge and Indycar 1.
When I race online in league, I'm usually half way decent. Depends heavily if I can find a decent base setup I can work with though.
Oh, and I rarely log in except to participate in threads I find amusing.

Also help Skipjack on car sets in the past and did some work with Mark James. You all take care, Don

Yeppers. But the only thing I am worried about is wasting a year at BSC, I am not sure if the architecture allows for you to be a transfer. But I'll get that figured out sooner than later.

My name is Jason & I'm a 23 year old Graphic Designer for a print shop in Greenville. Been a life-long pro wrestling fan (thanks to the good 'ole Sportatorium) and a fan of NASCAR since 1997. Haven't been around the sim community as long as some of you but I've been on the paint crew for nascarnet, NascarZone, The Racing Groove (the original one) & ran RaceSchemeCentral. On the side, I do dirt track photography and I love to study meteorology. Had a brief stint in the US Army a few years ago and looking to join the Air Force sometime next year. 8-)

My real name is Ken McKinley, guess i'm the old man around here at age 51. I started sim racing on N-2 and still enjoy it today.
I'm a sales engineer at a commercial heating and air conditioning company here in Portland, Oregon where I sell, design and project manage multi-story office and medical buildings. The days are long and stressful but the money is very good.
My on-line racing is pretty much at Can-Am when I race, but I got talked into getting Counter Strike Source which I added to my server and this is where most of the original RuRa racing crew meets up for some awesome shoot em up games.
To Jeff Langer, you are still one of us, so pick up a copy of CS and join us at the other site and you can get frustrated like the rest of us!

Im Brian Fletcher. Im 16. I like Nascar. I like Dr. Pepper. Cheerwine is 32534634x better than Dr. Pepper. Kevin Harvick is cool. Dale Earnhardt was 32534634x better than Kevin Harvick. I wear glasses, because I cant see without them. I drive a 1995 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight. I am a cashier at Publix, a grocery store in the South. Ive been playing NR2003 since July or August 2003, but have played the Papy games since Nascar Racing back when I was 4. I used to get so mad because Dale Earnhardt wasnt in the game so I would paint a new car completely black and scribble a white 3 on it. I still paint ingame, because Im poor and cant afford PSP or PSD, and Im stupic and cant learn them. I have been single my entire life (maybe shouldnt have told you that) In my off time, I browse RuRa, NNRacing, and Myspace. Peter Griffin is my hero. Pandas, cows, and ducks are the coolest animals ever. My favorite color is blue. Pop Tarts taste good. Relient K is the greatest band in the history of ever.

Chris Hofmann. One F two N's. I hate when people try to tell me how to spell my last name. 19 years old, currently residing just north of Charlotte, NC. I've worked on raccccce cars my entire life. Back home in PA, a friend had a NHRA Drag car, worked on that till I was 14 when the team closed up due to lack of fuunding ( sponsor left us to goto the #2 CTS truck) Went to vo tech in high school and graduated with my machinist papers, and am also certified in CNC programming, operation, and EDM operation. I engraved a set of Chevy SBII Valve covers for my senior project. (I'll have to find that photo) Spent all of high school working on Bobby Gerhart's ARCA team. Did alot of travelling to races and tests, cause my vo tech called it " career learning days" (great loop hole, right?) Was planning on going to college after I graduated high school in 2005, but JGR called and I moved to Charlotte a year ago to be a CNC Machinist. Won races and a NASCCAR Championship with JGR, then it fell apart in Feb. Woorked For Randy MacDonald's #72 BGN car this year, learned alot. Helped out Kertus Davis as well. Walked away from the #72 in August, did a one off with Viision racing, and since then, helped out my buddy ChaLew, and am employed by Charles Lewendowski Racing as well as Pit Studs Ink - a group that gets rented out on weekends to just crew cars. (headed to Memphis this weekend to crew the #01 BGN car)
Raced since NR1999, painted since N3.
Still looking for full time work, as either a machinist or a mechanic. I love going over the wall, I'm a tire carrier- I do fronts and rears- and its the biggest rush you can ever have.
I also do Graphic work with by buddy Tyler under the name Midnight Race Designs, clients include Bobby Gerhart Racing, Jones Group Racing, ChaLew, and this past year MacDonald Motorsports.
anything else just ask ( no i will not get you pit passes or autographs)
oh and I am still on a quest to find the key so we ccccan let Craig out of the basement... maybe hhe can help us find Lighhtninng or DFG

I'm Anthony Crane go by AC (anthony is actually my middle name but no knew that till now). I'm 24 born and raised in Galveston TX. Started out as an Mechanical Engineer to get into a racing career but half way through, explosives sound like a more interesting career so I've changed my goals and no longer look into getting into the racing business. Received my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in May 06' and now I'm working on my master's and my Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering working in the thermal fluids field as my concentration and energetic materials as my research here at Texas Tech University (Go Red Raiders). Been racing online since 2000 and have been paying the sierra games since the N3 days. Currently admin a racing league and do all the webmastering for it (had to learn on the go as a last ditch alternative to save our league). I love painting, I'm ok at it but dont get to do it as much anymore as school and the league take up alot of my time and my girlfriend takes up whats left. Big Roush Racing fan and funny enough I've only been to one race and it wasn't even in my own state.

Bringing up old threads rock!
I'm Jon to my older friends, JD to some. I'm the Tech Admin at the local CompUSA (repair facilitations, part orders, the fun stuff). I'm 21 years old and an Accounting major at NC State University (currently on course for graduation in 2010, yes 3 years late). Been sim racing since NR2, didn't start online racing until March of 2004 when I finally got a high speed connection and a wheel (over 250 races and 27 career wins). I race over at LNR and occasionally can be found on track with the NSW guys. Everyonce and awhile you'll catch me playing CS which I was addicted to for the first two years of college (hence why 3 years late). Originally from Canada, I've lived in Ottawa, Raleigh, Lynchburg, and Chicago. NC State makes my 12th different school in 16 years of education.
