I asked in November and this still wasn't the NASCAR 2003 replacement. What has 4 months done for the sim?
There are a few bugs to be worked out in the new "stock car" rules system, but it's very close.

Right now, the stock car mod from ISI is not done yet, but they have released a beta. I believe their mod will only have 1 model (the ford fusion), however, their mod is using the same physics as the one that thepits is using, and basically, ISI's mod is a slim down version of thepits' mod (their mod will have more models (although the fusion is from thepits and will probably be in their mod), probably the same or very similar physics, the one from ISI uses Brian Ring's physics, and thepits mod will use the same one. However, it is still beta. The AI is not refined yet, there are no spotters yet, however, I feel that they're on the right track. I don't think this will have the same feel as NR2003, afterall, NR2003 is based on the 2002 cup physics, while these physics are probably based on 2005 or 2006 physics (they should be very similar, while 2002 physics are pretty different from 2003 physics aerodynamic wise). However, I feel that they're on the right track. If you're looking for something done, well, it's going to be a while.
