Anyone know how to download a specific scheme from TradingPaints?

I've spent the last 15 minutes trying to find a download button, use the desktop downloader and still no download. Any help would be appreciated.

I've never used TradingPaints before (although I'm getting closer and closer to signing up), but I believe you can't download a specific scheme. I've found the following quote in the "About" and "Getting Started" section.


Trading Paints is not designed for drivers to download driver's submitted paint schemes for their own use; car files on Trading Paints are considered property of the original painter or driver.

I presume you're trying to download a specific scheme so that you can run it in the sim?

You can't download individual paint schemes. What most league owners do is create a List, add their drivers' paint schemes to it, and then download the List using Trading Paints Desktop.

The upcoming new version of the site should simplify this process. We used to have a Download button on the site, but we removed it because people were using it to download other people's paint schemes and re-upload them as their own. Removing the Download button was more of a band-aid on fixing the actual problem, to be honest.

But I'll let you in on a secret. If you're on a paint scheme page, such as http://www.tradingpaints.com/view/59679, you can change the "view" in the URL to "download" and it will download the TGA.
