Supposedly it is coming out around the the time of the new build. It will be a free car to all members and will I think they said it would become the advanced rookie car.

That's probably the only fun you'll have with them. In official races, the racing will be so boring because people don't want to get incidents and lose SR.

I've always said that we need the 70's Corvette and Trans Am in NR2003.

Your incidents don't count in hosted racing, so you can actually touch and have fun doing it without worrying about dropping your SR.

I'm more than aware how iRacing's incident system works ;), but I was referencing the fact that Chris thinks the official races will be boring with them, which by his logic all the official series are boring, which isn't the case at all. Should have taken your quote out of it. :)

I'm not saying all official races are boring. But if you go and read the forums, there are numerous people saying how they don't want to lose SR in a race so they ride in the back or are just there to collect SR. A lot of races are boring. Hell I was told the other day I shouldn't race a guy for 6th because he didn't want to make contact and lose SR. It will be the same in the Street Stocks as it is in the current series now.

I can't wait for these things! Although my subscription just ended and I'll have to wait a bit to renew. It's probably a good thing to take some time off from it for a while anyway lol. Hopefully they'll be released by time I get back! :roxs:

They're pretty fun. The only thing is that they have leaf springs in the rear so you gotta have a really huge split to make it turn.

The setups they are using for the official series are complete junk. Other then that, it's pretty fun.

Dale Jr posted his setups at RaceSetups.com:

BTW Steve, the naming convention you're using is horrid. It doesn't even display the entire track name. I'm not sure if it's the fact that Dale's name is too long, or what. But yeah. Something to look at.

It's difficult when the track names are so long and there's so much information to be placed into the name of the setup.

How do you combine something like this into a file name?

Track: Summit Point Raceway - Reverse Jefferson Circuit[/*:m:3ef0pfx4]
Driver: Dale Earnhardt Jr[/*:m:3ef0pfx4]
Date: December 23, 2010[/*:m:3ef0pfx4]
Season: 2010.4[/*:m:3ef0pfx4]
Setup Type: Short Race[/*:m:3ef0pfx4]
Vehicle: Chevrolet Impala SS Class B[/*:m:3ef0pfx4]
Setup Name: December JR Motorsports Testing[/*:m:3ef0pfx4]

I suppose vehicle and setup name aren't really important. We might have to resort to abbreviations.

These things are a blast. Just don't mix them with Solstices, I tried that tonight and got ran over way too many times in a fixed setup race lol. But Streeters alone are a blast.

Steve, this is what I use and everyone who I work with on setups uses.

10S4homesteadJE_nwQ1

Year-Season-Track-Driver Initials-Car-Race Type-Version
We use...
cot - Car of Tomorrow
nw - Nationwide
cts - Trucks
...
so on and so fourth. I think I'd keep the car name in the setup name, makes it easier to share.

Hopefully ya can come up with something. I'm liking the site, just needs more exposure.

I've ran two official races so far, and both have been pretty fun. It is extremely difficult to pass, which makes the bumper a necessity. If done right, all you receive is a 0x. I enjoy them, league racing in these should be quite fun.

Last race forgot to qualify and just waited for them all to wreck. Got a 4th out of it. One guy announced to the field he was taking someone out when they lapped him because they wrecked him earlier... easy to pick up spots for me like that.
