Charli "CaptainDynamite" Brown of Mooresville, NC dominated tonight's Music City 125 at Memphis Motorsports Park in the Hayes Jewelers #46 Chevrolet.
In the final pre-season event leading up to the highly anticipated first annual RuRa Late Model Series, 12 drivers showed up to do battle on the tricky 3/4 mile d-shaped track just outside of Memphis, Tennessee.
Mike Henry Jr. of Bordentown, NJ won the preliminary heat race in the Grover's Lawn Mower Service #17 followed closely by David Reid in the Kendall Johnson Customs #52. Tyler King, Tommy Smith and Charli Brown rounded out the top five.
Brown led 93 of 125 laps en route to the Most Laps Led award and also started from the Bud Pole with a lap time of 23.409. Second was Tommy Smith in the Smith and Ward Home Improvement #23 with preliminary heat race winner Mike Henry Jr. rounding out the top three.
The action all starts next Sunday night at Stafford Motor Speedway in Connecticut for the Carquest Auto Parts 125. Practice will start at 6 PM with the first heat rolling off the grid at 7 PM, EST.
