seems like a rip of TF2 IMO. Obviously it will have vehicles in it and stuff, but jeez.. must be easy to come up with video game ideas and twists when other people always do it first. :-?

It does look fun, and obviously it's going to be free.. so whatever. Hopefully it's not a "free to play, but pay to unlock anything fun" deal.

So you are saying TF2 introduced the cartoon graphics? Games like Sly Cooper and SEGA's Jet Set Radio hit that before Valve ever touched it. Is Valve a copy cat now? This game reminds me more of the Army Men series than TF2. Either way the creators of this game have stated that they finalized the graphical style BEFORE TF2's style was shown to the public.

Battlefield made warzone-style open gameplay popular. Just because another game comes along with a similar art style doesnt make it a ripoff.

What I'm trying to say is, nobody CARED about that style until TF2 was released. And that's the only reason anyone will care about this game.

If this game came out before TF2, then I would have said the same thing about TF2.

Really.... i guess NONE of these games anybody cared about... including titles like Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, DragonQuest VIII, XIII, and a few other games on that list

it hasn't been popular. Yara's list of cellshaded games is pathetic.

popular would be the overdone WWII/Modern infantry games that come out with "cutting edge realistic graphics" everytime a new graphics card is released.

If the devs made this prior to tf2, then all the power to them, but it's still capitalizing on the recent release of tf2. And beyond that, whoever is copying each other (it really doesn't matter to me, I'm not a fanboy), it still sucks that it takes trends to get game designers to actually have some creativity.. aka copying the minority of devs who have the ability to actually bring outside the box games to the forefront. Most companies are just releasing rehashed garbage over and over.

Thank god for Valve.

I'm pretty sure the media was more interested in the fact it was a sequel to an originally darn good game, and not about its cel-shaded graphics.

..oh..and about popularity, i didn't see many other games that had schools shut down on the day of the game's release (see: dragon quest popularity in japan)
