I don't know why but i keep these random dots on my screen, as you see its not the screen but i havent got a clue what it could be. my computer is about 4 years old now and has recently had problems playing games, for example the graphics on call of duty 1 often go wrong, as if its missing parts in the graphics for a split second then replaces them.
I'm currently using an ATI Radeon 9200 series and i do have the most recent drivers for it, so i havent got a clue what the problem is. thanks if anyone can shed some light on this.
Here is what they look like. they are just on the at the top of the start bar next to "Owner"

It sounds like an overheating issue, what you are seeing are artifacts. Make sure your fan on the card is still running. If your getting artifacts in 2D mode (Windows) then it may have already done damage to the card so you may want to be looking around for a replacement card.

Thanks for that Zone. Looks like i'll have to shell out for a new graphics card then :(
I was considering getting a new puter' anyway since this one is old and clogged up with crap

Video card is either:
a) Overheating
b) Dead
I had a similar problem with a Radeon card. Turned out it was dead.
Download Everest or Sensorsview (Google them) to check the temps. Clean out the case. Make sure the fan on the card works.
If that doesn't work, then it's probably time for your video card to go up to the great big computer in the sky.
