Having an issue with my parents PC. They have a Compaq PC with an integrated Intel 82845G graphics chipset. It apparently has a program that loads into the taskbar letting you change the monitor resolution and refresh rate on the fly. Well, they ended up selecting a resolution the monitor doesn't support and now the screen stays blank with a message "Attention Out of Range". Everything works fine in safe mode, so I uninstalled the Intel graphics drivers. Went back into Windows where it found and re-installed the video drivers. Restarted PC, after it gets past the black XP loading screen, monitor shuts off and I get the "Out of Range" message again. Have the latest video drivers, and monitor drivers. Any help?? 8-)
