Ok, so I want to run a 1998 Carset I got at NNRacing. My problem is this: I'm using the bodies that came with the first Nextel Cup mod that SS.Net did. So, would anyone happen to have the original bodies laying around?

If you mean this set: http://nnracing.com/filelibrary.asp?fileid=48964 then they're for the default Cup series that came with the game.

I know. Thats the problem. I'm using different bodies that SS.Net made for the original cup series. The '98 templates won't work with their bodies. I want to keep the bodies for my current Cup Series, and I don't want to reinstall the game. Thats why I asked if anyone had the original bodies.

try to find the PWF Cup Damage Update, that features the orignal bodies.

The NNC mod is different from that of cup.

Switch over to cup and you should be fine.

If you can't switch...download the 1.2.0.1 patch.

That means I DO NOT have the original bodies anymore, as the bodies from that patch have replaced them.

I think you have it the other way around, you don't know what your talking about because the NNC07 Mod does NOT replace or delete the original cup mod with the original models.

I'm not talking about the NNC07 mod, though! I have it installed too, and I know the difference!

The Nextel Cup Mega update doesn't change the car models. That update was a track update. It went and changed the tracks to have the Nextel and Sunoco logos instead of the Winston and Unical 76 logos. If you go into your Nascar Racing 2003 Season folder, then your "series" folder, and find the "cup" folder....you still have the original models that came with the game.

If you open up the .exe file that contains this patch, you will see that it clearly says that it changes some car models. In fact, heres a direct quote from the readme itself:

New Bodies for Chevrolet,Dodge, and Ford
New Damage Models
Enhanced Interior Cockpit
Added Scraping for Damage Models
Added 10 Levels of Detail Models for optimal fps
Right Side Windows for Ford,Chevrolet and Dodge

And it goes on to say...
Toyota Camry Not Yet Available, Pontiac Placeholder does not have damage model or Right Side Window
Currently, this has a basic damaged model and will be improved in future betas
No Roof Flaps as of yet.
Damage to Dodge is not as extensive as other makes, Following Beta 2 a new dodge will be imported.

Have you tried using the carset with that update? I have that update as well, and the two or three carsets I've downloaded, work just fine.
