Okay guys, some of you might remember the problem I was having with my video card, now I am actually going to get a new one, for the ARCA Sim that is coming out. (Getting back into sim racing, haven't raced online in about a year and a half) So here is my system specs.

Intel(R)
Penitum(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz
3.07 GHz, 512 MB of RAM

I am looking for the best possible gaming video card. No price range, I just want the best.

Is your video card slot AGP or PCI Express?

It's an Alienware, but I'm not sure bought it about 2 years ago.

Hmm, that's about when they started switching over to PCI Express. Any idea what motherboard is in it?

How do I find out what I have without opening the casing to the computer?

From what I found, it looks like that would be an AGP card. Since it's an old platform, it will be hard to find a top of the line video card for that. This card here would probably be your best bet: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130274 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130274)

Ideally, I would recommend upgrading to PCI Express, but that can get pricey, and probably isn't worth it. I have had problems mixing ATI cards with N2003, and I have heard much of the same from a lot of others so I always like to stick with NVidia based chipsets.

I think they still make AGP cards, but not with their best chipsets, usually more entry level ones.

Well yeah, my computer is AGP, thanks Phathead.
