Momo petals

Hey guys, I read somewhere that it was good for NR2003 to have your petals on separate axises. When I uncheck the box to combine them, I then get no response from the petals. Any help/suggestions??

It never worked for me with my old Logitech Wingman, so I had to keep them on the same axis which sucked because I couldn't trail brake. I never figured out how to fix it either. :-?
