Currently working on a Bathurst setup for N2k3. If anyone wants it give me a pm or I'll attach it here later on when I get home. I started off with a base fast setup from Sears and changed the spring rates and weight around some. Working on getting the gearing just right for the loooong straight on the other end of the track to keep from hitting the rev limiter too soon before going into the corner, while not losing as much pickup on the "Frontstretch"

Running some low 2:24's at the moment. You know that looong straight near the other end of the track, before you get the last set of S's? Well I've got my gearing set wrong for it, Im hitting the limiter too soon before I hit those last S's. However Its tough finding a fine enough medium so you don't kill yourself on the straight beyond the pit road exit.

So Im killing my lap times there I think. Whats your final and 4th gear ratios ya runnin? When I get home from work I'll post my setup.

i havent run this track...dont even have it...but is it possible to set up 3rd gear for the short straight and 4th for the long one? when i make my setups (rare nowadays) i set them up with a real tall 1st gear for restarts-fairly normal 2nd gear and then i use 3rd as my "normal" gear for racing and set it to hit the limiter at the end of the longest straightaway---then i use 4th gear as an overdrive gear incase i get the engine warm or need to save fuel or just cruise...i understand that this is a RC which i SUCK at----so im not sure if this method will work or not...

That sounds like a good strategy Shane!

I dunno if that would work or not on this RC, its got 3 fairly long straights and 1 shorter one and lots of turns. A lot of which 3rd gear often gets me thru the connecting short shutes. Perhaps beef up first, make second act like a 3rd, gear, make 3rd act like 4th, and make 4th act like an over drive? But that'll kill me on restarts. Hmmmm.....

DOH! oh well I'll figure something out lol

Whoops sorry guys, got busy with my friends wedding for the last two days and didn't have time to post. I'll attach my setup here. Jordan, go to the USPits and in their download section, Nascar 2003 section the track should be there under either Bathurst, or Mt. Panmora.
