Patch is called 1128F (this is a pre-release to get large scale feedback short term and will be officially released Sunday)

- Including Toledo-
Notes: Night racing (lights) not finished; Scoreboard not active; Dx7 & Dx8 modes not yet supported; There are a few holes in Turn 4 which need to be corrected; Need to make barrels and few other objects immovable, become distractive; remove weird music lol ....
- corrected gdb setting for accurate speeds at Mich
- updated Daytona and Talladega physics

We will revise this patch later this weekend, to add the dx7 & dx8 modes

Patch size is about 50 megs

Do you think we will ever get ONE patch to get the game that came on the DVD up to snuff in one go? I've lost track of what i patched last. I know it's been 2-3 months since I did, but I am lost as to what the hell is going on.

Okay, dude.

First off, I TOTALLY understand that you REALLY wanted to get this out when you guys said you would. But are you SERIOUS? Lights are simple. the Scoreboard is pretty simple as well. Did the trackmaker get sick today? To make the barrels and a few other objects immovable is a simple line that changes from TRUE to FALSE.

I know people really BLEEP at you guys for not keeping your dates. Your in a really bad position on this. You want to get it out on time, to shut them up, but you just failed. A half-done project? Serious? Even my beloved iRacing pushed back a part of their development to COMPLETE it..

I can hear the people now, "You said that they should stick to their dates and release stuff and get it out and stop pushing back dates blah blah blah." By that I meant they should work harder to get their content out at a faster rate. Not give up and release a half assed project so everyone has to RE download a new patch come the weekend. There will be mismatches galore! WOO!

Kart, without putting the word beta to it, we are using some of the information folks have given to finalize the track. I also clearly stated there would be a update to this patch Sunday correcting whatever was needed. So, it's an optional patch for those who do not mind checking it out, and can be permanently downloaded tomorrow if they do not want to give feedback.

Steve, Pragmatic Solutions will handle this soon. We have moved into advanced testing of the system and should be OK in the near future ...

BTW - How ya been man?

If you are using older vid cards, or drivers, then you may have issues until the build is finalized. These things may be related to DX7/8 compatibility.

You can only use DX 9 right now. From what I understand there were some textures missing, so DX 7, and 8 will not load up.

As for the speedway bodies, If I remember correctly, I think I was told TSF is waiting on a code change from ISI.

I think they have fixed it, and it will be released in the final update either tonight, or most likely tomorrow.

I'm just reporting the info I've gotten from RSC.

Can you not run under DX9? If you can, it will work.

Are there plans for those who have low FPS to be able to hide the grandstands and trackside objects at this track on low graphic settings in the next update?

No, he is saying that if you know so much about making their tracks, instead of being a negative nancy, offer to help them. I am certain that another track builder would help these guys release tracks on a faster timetable.

do you seriously see anywhere he said the guys at TSF aren't good enough ?

If your anti-ASR, stay the :cen: off this part of the forum, uninstall ARCA and go play IRacing. If you DO play ARCA, then stop giving the guys who made it such a hard time. If you know so much and can do better, try to create your own game, see how far you get by yourself.

No they are better than anyone out there at building tracks from scratch. Much better than anything you have done. Plus seriously, you are whining about lights and a scoreboard? Toledo doesn't even have a night race, that would be like 2k3 including a night version of Martinsville. Was that track incomplete because it didn't include a night version?

I take it you have probably not even run on the track yet. I was talking to Parker Kligerman who has actually run a ARCA car at the track and he said it was spot on. The physics were perfect to him since he went out and hit a 15.980 his first 5 laps on the track. All he said needed fixed was making the rumble stripes have a effect when you run over them and reduce the tire squeal that they added in the last patch.
