I don't know if you guys have seen but somebody has hacked into ARCA Sim Racing and gotten another track into the game. Go look at the lobby for yourself.

I see Toledo (looks like ASR testers are there because of the name of the server.)

And I see a JNSMartinsville.

so much for uncrackable code and not being able to modify the game any :fight:

Maybe now we can get some more decent tracks released :)

Either that or TSF will find a way to block non-TSF tracks in the lobby.

Only time will tell. Stay tuned. :spin:

I don't think blocking non-TSF tracks is a good idea, it's great to see that people are making some tracks.

You can already make tracks, TSF just has to put there physics and live groove into the track you make.

We are not against modding and we know you all want content. But we have long wanted to structure things so that we can monitor the work that is used within our title. It seems some have gotten around our system.

I am very concerned if this mod has any materials in it from another title or source not derived from their own work.

We are looking deeper into it and the origin of these files.

Guys....we have tracks coming soon as well as much more in the next patch. Also...we have long planned on working with modders in a structered way.

We cant shut them down from our lobby that I know of....but I realy hope that these tracks are not conversions from another title...and that the content of the mod is also work that derives from the modder not another title.

The only reason we have been closed for modding is that there are so many tracks, models and such that people would want to use...that are conversions from others work...not original artwork. Actions such as this are very harmful to our community in many aspects.

We understand that we are behind getting you content...and are working very hard to get it to you. But not in a patch that creates support for us. In a manner that is effective and will remain effective for future updates. We thank you all for your support and will work to get these items out to you soon. But please do not support the use of a mod if you feel the work is not original.

I still have it installed but with the lack of tracks for the money we spent, I havent played it in a few months.

N2K3 was put out with a full track packeage for the $50 I spent on that. ASR $50 and 10 tracks. dont think I got my monies worth.

But you knew you where only getting 10 tracks at release and you still bought it. So that's your fault for buying the game if you don't think you got your monies worth.

But at first we were told the tracks would be out with the ARCA schedule. That didn't happen. Now we are still stuck with the same tracks, and it is pretty boring when there are alternatives.

Just google JNS Tracks, and within a few clicks you find all you need.

I myself have picked up Marty, and its actually kind of fun!

I plan on picking up the rest as soon as I am able to find them.

Yea, half those links are forums, and the one i found gave instructions on how to install it. it was a long thread, but i eventually found what was needed after sifting through the banter.
